The Summit for New York City

Innovative city shapers & leaders

CHALLENGE:

To produce a two-day conference for more than 1,100 prominent thought leaders and city shapers. Working in connected yet distinctive event spaces presented occupancy issues regarding available space, seating and usage. There was a short load-in window for installation of the appropriate gear needed to service the variety of content, which included multiple Summit talks, film previews and a dance performance. In order to realize the client’s goal of creating a networking event for its affiliates and followers, it was imperative for all elements of the Summit to flow seamlessly throughout the two days.

SOLUTION:

Siam, working in partnership with Peko, LLC, assembled an accomplished team to handle everything from event management and overall production to scenic and lighting design and graphic production—ensuring cutting-edge results in integrating the technical aspects of the event. With no time for transitions between successive programs, the solution was to load, preset, cue and technically coordinate every aspect of the run of the show before the Summit launch. Planning and precision in all aspects of the Summit, especially to address occupancies concerns, were vital to achieving a polished production that complimented the discourse within the sophisticated Allen Room and Atrium spaces.

RESULT:

Over two stimulating days the content-driven event unfolded without a hitch, effectively flowing from one aspect to the next. Confirming their intent to invite Siam to produce 2013’s Summit, Jessica Halem of MAS stated, “Siam’s attention to detail, precise execution and confident leadership helped make the 2012 Summit a historic success.”
