CHALLENGE:

To produce a high-end banquet in a parking lot in the Arizona desert for a prominent Fortune 500 company. Assembling a temporary event space in a remote location presented a slate of hurdles, from arranging for a consistent continuous power source to supplying appropriate and reliable restroom accommodations. Because there were no existing riggings, building a safe and effective lighting system was a concern, and it was necessary to coordinate closely with the event entertainment, Cirque Du Soleil, regarding site limitations that would impact performance capabilities.

SOLUTION:

Siam deployed a core group of engineers and designers to the Scottsdale desert, calling on our widespread connections to build a supplementary team of local skilled laborers to support everything from event infrastructure and site management to logistics ranging from lighting and audio to power and security. Ongoing coordination ensured that the evening unfolded seamlessly and that expectations for the artistic element were fully realized.

RESULT:

The Zeitgeist Gala was a raving success, featuring a mesmerizing floor-based performance by Cirque Du Soleil, as a stark desert parking lot was temporarily transformed into a five-star venue. The 800 attendees, including the company founders were thrilled with the outcome.Siam was awarded the contract for the following year’s event.
